CHOOSE THE BEST YOUR ENGAGEMENT RING BASED ON SKIN CHARACTER

Some couples prefer to buy wedding bands that compliment each other – where as other couples choose to wear something unique to them as an individual. Most people think of getting creative with their engagement ring in terms of gemstone options—which shape to choose or whether to stick with a traditional white diamond rather than a colored gemstone. However, few people think about selecting an engagement ring based on whether it will complement their skin character and feel comfortable to wear it forever.

Skin characters can be separated into two basic categories: cool and warm. Warm and cool skin characters are determined by the hue that an individual’s veins take on through their skin.  Cool skin tones are identifiable by bluish colored veins. People with cooler skin tones may notice pinkish or rosy-red undertones when looking in the mirror. Eye color can range from light blue to dark brown and anywhere in between. As a celebrity gauge such as Eva Mendes, Anne Hathaway, Sandra Bullock, and Jennifer Hudson as examples of cool skin characters. Whereas those whose veins appear green through their skin are classified as warm skin characters. People who's natural hair color is red, orange, or strawberry blonde almost always have warm skin. Sometimes hair may be more brown, but it will have a reddish tint. People with darker skin are not usually warm-skinned. While individuals like Nicole Kidman, Marcia Cross, Cameron Diaz, and Amy Adams serve as warm skin characters.

If your skin character is warm,  your warm skin favor metals such as gold, pewter, brass, and copper. Warm skin character favor stones such as coral or golden toned pearls. Stone color should focus on more earthy tones such as browns, oranges, greens, yellows, peaches, corals, and also turquoises. And a traditional yellow gold is ideal for you. That is not to say that a bride with a warm skin character wouldn’t look beautiful in a white or rose gold band, but the traditional yellow gold best complements this skin type.

Cool skin tones favor metals such as silver, platinum, and white gold. A white gold matches with your skin which dazzle for you. If you are trying to decide if rose gold is ideal for you, it might help to remember that rose gold works best on skin characters that reside on the extreme ends of both the warm and cool spectrum. Cool skin tones favor stones such as white pearls and diamonds. Stone color should focus on jewel tones such as pinks, purples, blues, reds, and magentas.
