My first pair of glitter-y shoes was a silver pair of second hand criss-cross Marc Jacobs ballet flats hustled from my sister when I was 24. Then 29, my sister decided to get rid of them after seeing a pre-teen Dakota Fanning sporting the same pair on a red carpet. I, on the other hand, had no problem sharing fashion choices with an 11 year old. These sparklers were a perfect touch of magic to my requisite jeans and a black turtleneck.
Some say they are too girly, too childish. I say they are perfect for my winking, fashion-loving, child at heart!
