My relationship with pink changed in 1999. A previously devoted fan of black, my older sister come back from a summer study abroad in Florence with a lovely, electric pink sweater and copy of "We Like to Party" by the Vengaboys, and I had a new favorite color.
Sadly, the next few years brought bright pink overload; between Juicy Couture tip to toe Pepto pink, Victoria's Secret insanity, and even that darn Hello Kitty. Hot pink had been so 'done' that it became a dirty word. The bright, chipper shade was quickly sent back to silly, girly territory.
This Spring it has emerged again and it is ELECTRIC. Ginnifer Goodwin looked the opposite of girly in this a-mazing hot pink Roksanda Illincic sheath.
We loved these examples of this bold color in an everyday wardrobe...
Wicked Barbie pumps with a pretty vintage look (Veronika from Tick Tick Vintage)
Lightweight button down w/ cobalt cropped trousers makes for great color-blocking! (Jentine from MyEdit)
What do you think? Hot Pink: Yea or Nay?
