As the night went on, more and more red wine was drunk but here are a few of the initial impressions as written down in my handy notebook.
Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton : "Absolute, absolute favorite." Everyone should get a pixie cut and wear a red peplum waisted dress! Making my appointment at the Buzz immediately.
Meryl Streep in goldy Lanvin: "This is what I would want my mother to wear if she went to the Oscars."
Cameron Diaz in Gucci: "Icky band-aid Dress. Looks like Diaz in 2002." (not sure what part of 2002, think it is was the hair)
Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad: "Great bottom half of the dress. Terrible top. Pick one - boobs or arms. Wait, is she having a wardrobe malfunction?"
Sandra Bullock in Marchesa: "Top looks like it is from Casual Corner. The bottom is Morticia Adams. Hairpiece from Madonna's Vogue days"
Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji: "Another favorite. Looks amazing. Great color...looks 'lit up' like a nightlight."
Angelina Jolie in Versace: This is not my line. I read it on Facebook and I felt that it fit. "She looks like the bone from a chicken wing. Plus, why does she keep standing like that."
Natalie Portman in Dior: (by now quite late into the evening/bottle of wine) "Lame hair. Lame dress. Lame Natalie."
Some stars looked amazing. Most looked...fine. I could sure go for a Bjork swan dress or Lara Flynn Boyle ballerina-ness. What do you think?
